Description

Contact Improvisation is a practice rooted in the dynamic communication between two moving bodies in physical contact, exploring their shared relationship with the fundamental forces that govern movement – gravity, momentum, and inertia.
In order to experience the full range of these sensations, the body must learn to release excess muscular tension and soften its willfulness, allowing for a more organic flow of movement.

This workshop will focus on key elements of Contact Improvisation, including rolling, falling, being upside down, and following a physical point of contact with a partner. We will explore how to support and give weight to one another, aiming to develop a sense of movable support and gentle flying techniques.

We could call this approach ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ป๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜ง๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ, where the experience of gravity and momentum becomes a shared exploration of trust and flow between partners.
